For the past eighteen years GKM Survey Co. has been conducting surveys of the public requesting them to vote for their favorite businesses in eighty regions throughout New England. A mass mailer of vote cards is mailed out on two separate occasions in each region. When the vote cards are received by potential voters they proceed by going to BestOfSurveys.com and proceed to their city/town and vote on-line.

After the votes are tallied, winning businesses are visited and offered the award for that year. Should the winning business decline for any reason, that category is omitted for that year. No alternate business is offered the award for that year should the actual winner decline. This places no pressure on a winning business to participate and keeps the results honest and accurate.
